Corruption Wound the World

Corruption does not respect boundaries. It transcends parties, powers, states and countries.

So corruption, as old as humanity, is a global scourge that must be eliminated. And I already mentioned this earlier in the eBook - The Sociocapitalism for a Better World.

Corruption is powerful because it drains lives, money and hope, especially of the poorest people.

Many Brazilians think that Brazil is the country's champion corruption and that developed countries are free from this evil. But this is pure illusion. Corruption has many facets and some of it involves no money directly. So the worst corruption is the corruption of values. And this corruption is explicit when analyzing the light of history: Nazi crimes, terrorism such as "Bin Laden", crimes of state, such as those who commit the government of Israel against the Palestinians.

It is because of the corruption of values and their rotten policies that are practiced by "political bosses" militarized, is it built the "wall of shame" of Berlin, the United States border with Mexico and Israel, so that usurps Palestinian lands and promotes chaos in the Holy Land. However, the world as proclaims President Obama needs bridges, not walls.

And it does not stop there. The maintenance of Guantanamo Bay is a corruption of the values of freedom, the American people both estimates.

Corruption has reached a level so expressive that even tyrannical one-party countries like China, has on its agenda, the fight against this evil. Well, according to the party bigwigs including Xi Jinping, if it is not countered effectively the Chinese state will be brought to ruin.

The corruption of values and greed led the United States to two misguided wars (Iraq and Afghanistan), which continue draining blood and treasure of the American people. Corruption also led the U.S. to enter into a serious financial crisis, which overstepped its boundaries contaminating the world. The good side of the story is that this crisis will change the face of capitalism as we know it forever and for the better.

The crisis in Europe is also the result of greedy corruption of values. And she's bringing back harmful radical ideologies: Nazism and xenophobia.

The trafficking of arms, drugs, and bodies of children, the "colonial wars" in Africa and other continents, are also by-products of corruption. Involving diverse interests and corrupt country.

Finally, corruption is globalized and thus became, in a monster that threatens all: a third world war.

So the major world leaders, including the Pope, already included in their agenda the fight against corruption. The 21st century will not be a repeat of the 20th century, which was tolerant of it, and the tyrannies that fed them. The global crisis that we are witnessing is the result of significant corruption of values that prevailed hitherto. Accordingly, no way to fight corruption, whatever it is, it will be impossible for the world out of the crisis and who got to take a path of progress and social justice. And this is the main challenge facing humanity. I say I'm optimistic about it. For the light of history shows us that humanity always knew overcome their challenges.   @pjvalente
